What first aid courses do you offer?
We provide a comprehensive range of accredited training, including Provide First Aid (HLTAID011), Provide CPR (HLTAID009), and First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012). We also specialize in Remote First Aid and advanced resuscitation for high-risk environments.
Is my certificate nationally recognised?
Yes. All accredited training is delivered in partnership with Royal Life Saving NSW and Allen’s Training Pty Ltd (RTO 2809). Your certification will be recognized by employers and regulatory bodies across Australia.
How long does my first aid certification last?
Generally, Provide First Aid is valid for three years, while the CPR component should be refreshed every 12 months to remain compliant with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Where do you hold your courses?
We are proud to serve the Central West. We hold regular public courses in Bathurst, Lithgow, and Cowra. Additionally, we offer mobile onsite training where we bring the equipment and expertise directly to your workplace or community group.
Do I need to complete any online work?
To maximize our "hands-on" time in class, most of our courses involve a simple online theory component to be completed prior to the face-to-face practical session. This ensures you spend less time looking at a screen and more time practicing life-saving skills.
Can you tailor a course for my specific industry?
Absolutely. As our name suggests, Tailored First Aid specializes in custom scenarios. Whether you are in the agricultural sector in Cowra, the school system in Lithgow, or a corporate office in Bathurst, we adapt our practical examples to suit your real-world risks.
What should I wear to my first aid course?
As our training is very practical and involves kneeling on the floor to practice CPR on manikins, we recommend wearing comfortable, modest clothing (trousers or shorts are best) and closed-toe shoes.
What if I have a physical limitation or injury?
We believe first aid is for everyone. If you have a physical injury or limitation that may prevent you from performing CPR on the floor, please let Fiona know before the class. We can often make reasonable adjustments to ensure you still meet the assessment requirements.
How soon will I receive my certificate?
We know you often need your certificate for work immediately. In most cases, your digital certificate will be issued within 24 to 48 hours of successful completion of both the theory and practical components.
Do you offer group discounts for businesses?
Yes, we offer competitive pricing for local businesses and community organisations. We can manage your staff’s recurring certifications to ensure your workplace remains compliant year-round.
